State Senator Maile Shimabukuro coordinated volunteers from Waianae Intermediate School, Nanakuli High & INter, After School All-Stars Hawaii, Women of Waianae, Nani O Waianae, E Kumu Wawae, and Ka Wai Ola o Waianae for a morning rubish clean up in the Maili point area. County workers hauled away a full flatbed truck of rubbish harvested from the area. Native Hawaiian shrubbery was also planted along the People's Path.
